Gita Baliga
Tutor, Writer & Non-Profit Consultant
Gita’s (she/her) work experience includes time at a small, liberal arts college as an admission officer, teaching grades K-8, social justice work, and nonprofit project management. Currently, she tutors students in writing, systems of organization, and time management skills, and assists with brainstorming and editing college essays. Working with students is the great joy of her life and providing the tools and encouragement for them to reach and exceed their goals is a big part of that joy. She received her BA in English from Franklin and Marshall College and her MA in Educational Psychology-Counseling from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.
Gita resides in San Jose, CA and her family includes her son, her daughter-in-law, her daughter, and a pup. When she’s not working, she spends time with her children, writes, walks her dog, hikes, camps, reads, cooks, finds live music, and laughs with dear friends. You can contact her at Gita Baliga-Savel
